Software UI developers design and engineer UI solutions for various proprietary tools and applications at Rhythm & Hues. The ideal candidate would have industry experience developing commercial-quality interactive software.

• Collaboratively explore, evaluate and develop effective workflow solutions to complex tasks.
• Develop and customize intuitive shared UI components.
• Iteratively refine tools through ongoing usability investigation.

• Strong C/C++ skills, including object-oriented design and large-scale software engineering.
• Experience with object oriented UI toolkits, preferably Qt.
• Experience analyzing and optimizing performance in event loops, balancing short-term solutions against long-term architectural vision.
• Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals, such as data structures, algorithms, systems, and programming languages.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with people with varying levels of technical proficiency.
• Desire to provide excellent customer support in a production environment.

• Computer graphics techniques and OpenGL.
• Familiarity with visual effects software such as Maya or Houdini.
